Frank Ettenberg

Ettenberg moved to Santa Fe in 1972 after finishing a RAIR Grant at the Roswell Museum. He's had numerous exhibits in NM & Texas since that time. Since 2003, he's lived in Vienna & attempts to extend his regional success into Europe.

His style incorporates expressionistic modes from all the world's art. It can also have musical qualities, especially like jazz & classical. There's also a homage to cinema, since the artist likes to arrange forms in unpredictably developing sequences. Overall, Frank's art offers profound and enduring experiences that often take years to fathom as they unfold. His best work quickly melts or grabs hold of you, so the long haul of appreciating this art can start with a bang.
